Social Programme

We’ve planned two social events alongside the conference, offering a chance to meet fellow delegates, relax and enjoy Amsterdam together.

Please wear your conference badge visibly when attending the events, so we can easily recognise our conference community.

Welcome Reception
Tuesday 1 September; 18:00 - 20:00 hrs
A'DAM Tower

Rising high above the IJ, A'DAM Tower is one of Amsterdam’s most distinctive landmarks. The tower was built in 1971 as the headquarters of Royal Dutch Shell and, for decades, was known simply as the Shell Tower. After an impressive transformation, the building reopened in 2016 as A'DAM Tower – a vibrant hub for music, culture, dining and entertainment. Today, it offers one of the best views over Amsterdam and the surrounding landscape.

Conveniently located right next to EYE Filmmuseum, our conference venue, A'DAM Tower is the perfect place to continue the conversation, connect with fellow delegates and enjoy a different perspective on Amsterdam. And for a gathering of rotorcraft enthusiasts, there’s perhaps no better place to meet: a tower built to look out over the city, with the sky quite literally on your doorstep.

Conference Gala Dinner
Wednesday 2 September; 19:00 - 23:00 hrs

Dress code: business casual, gala optional.

KIT Royal Tropical Institute; please find the walking route to the event's entrance here.

Located in the heart of Amsterdam, KIT has been a place for international exchange and knowledge sharing for more than a century. The building first opened its doors in 1910 as the headquarters of the Colonial Institute, reflecting the Netherlands’ strong international connections at the time. Today, KIT has evolved into a leading centre for sustainable development, global health and international cooperation. Its historic architecture provides a unique backdrop for bringing people and ideas together from around the world.

A place with a long history of looking beyond borders – and a fitting setting for an international community shaping the future of rotorcraft.

We look forward to welcoming you!
