Day 1: Panel Talk - Exploring Cross-Disciplinary Perspectives
What new or unexpected dots should we connect to facilitate resilient, regenerative, and just cities?
Pietro Reviglio (Policy and Research Advisor at Eurocities)
Mr. Reviglio is a Policy and Research Advisor on Urban Governance at Eurocities, where he leads advocacy and research at the intersection of EU policymaking, urban governance, and evidence-based analysis. He coordinates high-level political engagement, shapes Eurocities’ urban governance agenda, and steers flagship research initiatives such as the Eurocities Pulse Mayors Survey, gathering strategic insights from over 100 European city leaders. A key focus of his work is metropolitan governance where he supports cities in navigating multi level governance processes and in enhancing their institutional capacity to act at the metropolitan scale.
Jan Duffhues (Lead Spatial Data & Design, Department of Planning and Sustainability at City of Amsterdam)
Mr. Duffhues leads a team of 35 professionals who explore the spatial development and sustainability challenges faced by the City of Amsterdam. His team analyzes how the city should manage and organize these issues to ensure policies are effectively implemented. Trained as an urban planner and sociologist with over 10 years of experience within the City of Amsterdam, his specialization is strategy and innovation in the physical domain.
Antonia Wormer (Co-founder of Blade-Made)
Ms. Wormer is co-founder Blade–Made is a circular impact startup with a mission to prevent composites from dismantled wind parks becoming waste by using them as secondary building materials. Two world-first innovations (a wind turbine blade noise barrier and a wind turbine nacelle tiny house) offer the circular building sector alternatives to standard solutions and help them transform to sustainability. These innovations and the grass root initiative that Blade–Made is, characterize Wormer as a professional: with passion and energy, she embarks on missions for a greater cause. Engaging stakeholders and clients for a best match and real impact.

Day 2: Panel Talk - Implementation and Scale-Up
How can we connect the dots as researchers, companies, and governments to accelerate progress in circularity and the energy transition?
Katrien Termeer (Professor Governance of Transformative Change at Wageningen University & Research)
Prof. Termeer’s research focuses on the governance of wicked problems in related policy areas such as agriculture, food, water, and climate. She explores the emergence of new governance forms to enhance transformative change, including self-governing communities, public-private partnerships, global roundtables, and private certification systems. She developed the ‘small wins’ approach to analyze how governance facilitates transformative change. Prof. Termeer has worked at the universities of Rotterdam and Delft, the Ministry of Agriculture, Sioo, and serves on various supervisory boards. She was also a Crown-appointed member of the Social and Economic Council of the Netherlands (2018- April 2026).
Mats Siffels (Program developer at Amsterdam Donut Coalition)
The Amsterdam Donut Coalitie is a network that connects people and organizations working together to implement the donut economy in Amsterdam. Mr. Siffels oversees all programs that support community initiatives, government, and companies in improving organizational effectiveness and fostering cross-collaboration, grounded in the principles of the Donut Economy. He is also involved in several initiatives focused on developing regenerative and just cities, such as ‘Tweede Maatschappelijk Akkoord van Amsterdam’, the ‘Community of Practice Rechtvaardige Stad’, and the ‘Maakbank voor maatschappelijk vastgoed’.
Erik van Doorn (Business Unit Manager at Dura Vermeer
Mr. Van Doorn is responsible for the execution of civil works in the North-Western part of The Netherlands at Dura Vermeer. With his team, he works on quay walls, bridges, power stations, and industrial plants, driven by a strong commitment to sustainability and innovation. He initiated several circular bridges, 3D concrete printing, robotized brick work, and nature-inclusive measurements on quay walls. As a member of the steering group “Toekomstbestedige Leefomgeving,” he shares his experience and vision from a contractor's perspective and works toward a future-proof living environment in collaboration with contractors, government, knowledge institutions, and engineering firms.

Day 3: Panel Talk - Societal Impact Through Collaboration
To ensure knowledge and innovation reach society, how can we better connect the dots among stakeholders, including citizens with diverse perspectives and practices? Can we contribute to closing the loops between sciences to foster interaction within society, and reinvent cities, in particular in places hit by natural disasters or wars? Including James Evans and Babette Porcelijn.
Tamara Metze (Professor of Public Administration at the Faculty of Technology, Policy and Management at Delft University of Technology)
Prof. Metze has extensive experience leading transdisciplinary projects focused on boundary-crossing collaborations for governance of sustainability transitions, such as energy, food, and the circular economy. Her research emphasizes the role of boundary objects, (visual) framing, conflict, and knowledge co-creation through research by design and scenario development. She holds a background in Political Science and Science and Technology Studies (both ‘cum laude’), with a PhD from the University of Amsterdam in Public Administration.
Roos Dors (Advisor & Project Manager Inclusion & Diversity at the City of Amsterdam)
Ms. Dors is an experienced, open-minded policymaker, advisor, and project manager. An initiator, collaborator, networker, and connector within the social domain. All done with professional commitment. She combines her personal Inclusion & Diversity network with her professional network to increase impact in society. She works on inclusive procurement and serves as a point of contact for civil servants.
Ewout Runhaar (Director Data & Chief Data Officer at the City of Amsterdam)
Mr. Runhaar combines his background in political science, business management and IT as Director of Data and Chief Data Officer of the City of Amsterdam. He is driven by the fundamental impact of new technology on how governments function: the risks when it goes wrong, and the value when done right.
